Infectious Diseases

Parents are asked  not to send sick children to school. We do not have the facilities to cater for such children and parents will be contacted and asked to make other arrangements for their children if this happens.

Certain contagious conditions require children to be excluded from school until all signs of condition are gone. Help and advice can be obtained from the school or on the Health Department website using the Communicable Disease Guidelines handbook.

Some common diseases are:- head lice, ringworms, gastro, colds/flu, chicken pox, measles, scarlet fever. For further information view the communicable disease guidelines.
